Here's a piece of news party planners have been asking for: you can now order a custom Ryan's ice cream cake online. The cakes are still made and decorated by hand at the shop, same as always. The only thing that changed is how easy it is to start one.
How the online form works
Every ice cream cake at Ryan's is made for your order, so ordering starts with a few decisions. The new online order form walks you through the same questions the crew would ask at the counter. First, pick the shop where you'll pick up your cake: Tinton Falls on Shrewsbury Ave or Oakhurst on Route 35. Then choose your pickup date and time. Cakes need at least 48 hours' notice, so give yourself a comfortable head start.
Tell us about the cake
- Size: six sizes with prices right on the form, from a 7" cake that serves 6 to 8 ($29.99) up to a full sheet that serves 30 to 45 ($89.99).
- Flavors: build your own combination from the homemade lineup and add favorite toppings ($3 to $7 each depending on cake size), or pick Ryan's Way: vanilla ice cream on top, our chocolate crunchie center, chocolate ice cream on the bottom.
- Writing, colors, and decorations: the birthday name, the grad year, an icing color, a border style, whatever the celebration calls for.
Then a real person calls you
This is the part we want to be clear about: submitting the form doesn't charge you anything, and nothing is final until you hear from us. Once your order comes in, the shop calls you to confirm every detail and go over pricing. Want to tweak a flavor or reword the message? That call is exactly the place to do it.
Good to know: As soon as you submit, you'll get a ticket number by email. That number is how you and the shop keep track of your cake from order to pickup.

Every question on the form, explained
- Your shop: Tinton Falls (open daily 11 AM–10 PM) or Oakhurst (daily 12 PM–10 PM) — pick whichever is easier for pickup day.
- Pickup date and time: at least 48 hours out, during shop hours. Aim for shortly before the party so the cake goes freezer-to-freezer.
- The occasion: birthday, graduation, anniversary, holiday, or “just because” — it helps the decorator get the look right.
- Size: all six sizes with live prices, from the 7” ($29.99) to the full sheet ($89.99). There’s a “not sure yet” option if you’d rather decide on the call.
The decorating menu
This is where the fun lives. Choose an icing color — from blue & white to rainbow to a pastel mix — and a border style: classic shell, rosettes, rainbow sprinkles, chocolate crunchies, or whipped cream swirls. Add the writing, then raid the topping board — $3 a pick on 7” and 8” cakes, $4 on 9” and 10”, $5 on a half sheet, $7 on a full sheet: twenty dry toppings from Oreos to toasted coconut, a dozen wet ones from hot fudge to wet walnuts, and sugar-free options too. Prefer to leave it to the pros? Skip any dropdown and the decorator chooses.
When 48 hours is not enough
Two days is the minimum, not the target. Graduation season, winter holidays, and big birthday weekends fill the decorating calendar fast — if your date is one everyone else is celebrating too, order the moment you know. The form is open at midnight; take advantage.
Three quick answers
Do I pay online? No. The form takes no payment at all — pricing is settled on the confirmation call and paid at the shop.
What if my flavor combination isn’t a dropdown option? Use the notes box. The form covers the common builds, and the notes plus the confirmation call cover everything else.
