Late summer is party season stacked on party season: end-of-summer send-offs, back-to-school gatherings, and the first team parties of the fall schedule. Whatever you're celebrating, an ice cream cake feeds the whole crowd from one box, with zero serving stress.
Size the cake to your crowd
The question we hear most is "how big a cake do I need?" Our sizes follow your crowd, and the online order form shows every size with its price:
- 7" cake, serves 6–8 ($29.99): a small family party or a sleepover crew.
- 8" or 9" cake, serves 8–12 ($35.99–$39.99): a classroom celebration or a birthday with all the cousins.
- 10" cake, serves 12–15 ($44.99): a full roster plus parents and siblings.
- Small or large sheet, serves 20–45 ($64.99–$89.99): yes, we can feed the whole league. The team will help you plan it.
Order online or call the shop
There are two ways to place a cake order. Fill out the online form (pick your shop, pickup date and time, size, flavors, and decorations, and the shop calls you to confirm details and pricing), or call Tinton Falls at (732) 842-5874 or Oakhurst at (732) 517-0000. Either way, please allow at least 48 hours' notice so your cake is decorated and frozen solid in time for the party.
First cake order?: Our step-by-step ordering guide covers timing, flavors, and pickup so nothing sneaks up on you.
For the team: party cups and novelty treats
Cake isn't the only way to serve a roster. Individual party cups are a coach's best friend: everyone gets their own, no cutting or plates required. And the freezer case of novelty treats (Chippers, Flying Saucers, and Pup Cups for the team mascot) keeps a line of hungry players moving fast.
Make it feel like their party
An ice cream cake with the team's name and colors, or a back-to-school message piped across the top, turns dessert into the centerpiece of the whole afternoon. Tell us the writing, colors, and decorations you want on the form, or go Ryan's Way (vanilla top, chocolate crunchie center, chocolate bottom) and let the decorators do their thing.
The week-of checklist
- By 48 hours out (earlier is better): order placed — online or by phone. Busy weekends book up, so don’t cut it close.
- The confirmation call: the shop calls to lock details and pricing. This is the moment to adjust the headcount, the message, or the flavors.
- Day before: clear a flat, cold spot in the freezer — sheet cakes need real estate.
- Party day: pick up close to serving time, drive straight back, freezer until candles. Ten to fifteen minutes on the counter before cutting gives you clean slices.
Cake questions coaches and party hosts ask
The headcount moved on me — now what? It happens to every team parent. If the order isn’t confirmed yet, mention it on the confirmation call; otherwise ring the shop with your ticket number. Sizing up a step, or adding a box of party cups as backup, solves it every time.
Can one cake do two flavors? That’s the whole point of an ice cream cake — layers. Go Ryan’s Way (vanilla top, crunchie center, chocolate bottom) or pick your own pair from the homemade lineup on the form.
What does feeding 12 kids actually cost? A 10” cake at $44.99 covers 12–15 servings — about three dollars a kid for a centerpiece dessert. Toppings add $1.25 each, and there’s no charge for the writing or the wow.
