We know how much that corner means to the Bayshore, and we don't have a reopening date to share, so we won't pretend to. What we can do is point you to the closest open Ryan's and make the drive worth it.

The Hazlet shop at 377 NJ-36 is temporarily closed. That's the whole update: no timeline, no promises, and no spin. Plenty of you still search for "Ryan's Hazlet" every week, and we'd rather you hear it from us than from a dark storefront. When there's real news, it'll be on the location page and here on the blog first.
In the meantime, the same family, the same recipes, and the same small-batch operation are running every day at two shops: Tinton Falls at 462 Shrewsbury Ave and Oakhurst at 1805 Route 35. For the Bayshore, Tinton Falls is the closer one.
If you've never been to the Tinton Falls shop, here's what to expect: it sits right on Shrewsbury Avenue, a short way past the Shrewsbury line, with parking at the door and benches out front. Hours are 11 AM to 10 PM every day, which is a wider window than most of the Bayshore's dinner plans need. The board, the case, and the crew work exactly the way Hazlet's did.
The closest open Ryan's, town by town
- Hazlet: Tinton Falls at 462 Shrewsbury Ave is the nearest open Ryan's. Open daily 11 AM to 10 PM, (732) 842-5874.
- Middletown: about 15 to 20 minutes down Route 35 to Tinton Falls. The Middletown page has the details.

Commuters who navigate half of Monmouth County before breakfast will recognize the drive as an easy one. For everyone else, the areas we serve pages list the closest open shop for every town. Oakhurst at 1805 Route 35 (open daily noon to 10 PM) is the other option: for most of the Bayshore it's the longer trip, but if the day already takes you toward the beach, it's the same board and the same recipes.

The seasonal case is heading into fall: Pumpkin, Pumpkin Cheesecake, Maple Walnut, Cinnamon, Caramel Apple, and Cranberry.

Make the drive count

- Time it for after dinner. The shop is open until 10 PM daily, so a Middletown or Holmdel evening has plenty of margin.
